Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives

Like others have written, never judge a movie by what others say about it, especially when they NEVER WATCHED IT! Now, with that said, you can take my review with a grain of salt, but I thought it was a fantastic movie. While some said that it was, "too graphic" and "made light of a serious matter," what it really did was show how some killer transgender women (trannies) can kick some serious ass! Why should we watch another documentary about how weak the transgender / gay community is? While killing and torture are not ideas I condone, it's nice to see some justice served. This movie is so over the top, you'll just keep laughing through most of it. Not only do the girls have fantastic names, but their one liners are priceless. I mean, who wouldn't want to see a stiletto heal shoved into a degenerate's eye? I know I did!

I thought this movie was called "Ticked-Off Grannies with Knives" when I bought it. I bought it on title only, I was thinking cool - Grandmas going berserk. I realized it was Trannies not Grannies when I started to play it. This movie is great. A gay themed Grindhouse movie that is very well made. It's a thriller, a comedy and a revenge movie all in one. A solid 5 star movie. I will put this DVD on my DVD shelf right next to my other Grindhouse type movies.

the director, Israel Luna, should be one to watch. This film, FILM, not movie, is AMAZING!! the way it is shot definitely gets its image across as a unique INDEPENDENT piece of ART. its quite beautiful. and the script, wow...once the movie gets going, it actually gets pretty real. i was taken in by the psychological drama that unfolded; the script writer def. wanted to make a film that would relate to the queer community. its good. and the actors are SUPER good too, considering this is a b-slasher film. (there is some gore, but its funny). the film is also very very funny =) it was shot in texas; brings a lot of american perspective to the quality of the film, a def. plus.

I don't know who the bad guy was, but he was the best actor in the whole film. Thats not to say that the other performances wern't exceltent,they were, but he was so good I had to give the movie 5 stars. One of the best B movie/grind house type movies I've ever seen. Check it out!

This is not a good movie to watch if you're looking for high quality production or a good story. This is a great film to watch if you are just looking for some excellent campy, trashy fun. My favorite drag queen, Willam Belli (currently of DWV and the former YouTube series Willam's Beatdown) appears in this film, although you can see this was before she really learned to perfect her make-up. Krystal Summers is great as well.

My initial reaction was how cool: a director cast actual trannies—people who were born male, but have breast implants and live full time as women— to play trannies, instead of having those parts played by men or women, as every other director has done. However, it didn’t take long to figure out that Israel Luna had no intention of really challenging the status quo. The discussion among the trannies about the men who are attracted to them and male bisexuality was disappointingly hackneyed, narrow minded and was clearly written by a mainstream, conformist gay male who is desperate for acceptance from the establishment. Evidently—yeah, you guessed it—there’s no such thing as a male bisexual (though, presumably, females are allowed the freedom to be bisexual in Luna’s predictable taxonomy). Jenna Skyy’s character, “Tipper Sommore” explains the awkward position that trannies are in—identifying as women, while considering the men who have sex with them to be gay—but does so in a way that just leaves the viewer scratching his head. There are, of course, simpler explanations that are more likely to be accurate: some men are attracted to all women, including those that weren’t born women; some men are attracted to women physically but have other objections to them, making transsexuals, though not men, a good alternative; etc. Male sexuality and attraction to trannies just isn’t as black and white as the establishment and their desperate servant Israel Luna would have one believe. (Anyone remember the Kinsey scale? It didn’t just apply to females.) And some men, such as myself, have gone back and forth between dating cis women and trannies, whether Luna and the respectable society that he wants so much to be a part of like it or not. The bottom line is: any man who is sexually attracted to women will be turned on by sex goddesses like Krystal Summers, Erica Andrews, Jenna Skyy and Chaselyn Wade, while no gay man would. But none of these points were made by any of the other characters to counter Tipper Sommore’s gibberish, which is what makes this scene establishment propaganda. Also, why didn’t Krystal Summers et al. get naked at any point? Ticked Off Trannies With Knives is essentially an exploitation film, and as anybody who is familiar with that genre knows, there are two things that any good exploitation film must have: over-the-top violence and a lot of nudity, if not pornographic sex scenes. There was plenty of the former in the movie, but Luna just couldn’t bring himself to include the latter. More disappointment. Other than that, Ticked Off Trannies had some good humor; and I thought it was cool that the trannies got revenge on the hateful, sexually-repressed rednecks who hurt them and killed one of their friends in the end.

I wasn't sure about this movie at first, but it is pretty funny. Definitely doesn't take itself serious. Likable characters and based off a reality of trust with strangers. If you love John Waters films, I can guarantee you'll like this one too!

Sucked!

with knives? a low budget tale of club dancers getting involved when one them has the misfortune to be dating a right psycho. Dumped off, harmed, the trannies get their revenge in this entertaining fare. thoroughly entertaining even though sadly lacking a budget that could have enhanced it more. Good performances as well.

Took a chance on this and glad I did...., so funny and some great performances.
